Shokola means "chocolate" and Karanga means "peanut" in Swahili. Y' connects them.
So this is: Chocolate and Peanut, the East African way.
Same foundation as our Shokola bar: Tanzanian cacao, sourced slave-free, roasted and crafted in Detroit with Dwaar Chocolate. But this one has a passenger. DeSoto Confections in Grand Rapids roasts the peanuts in caramelized spices β sweet, with a slow heat that builds after the chocolate melts.
The result is the kind of bar that disappears faster than you planned for it to.
Tasting notes: dark chocolate, caramelized sweetness, spiced warmth, roasted peanut.
For the record: this one outsells the plain Shokola at the restaurant. Make of that what you will.
